Valentine's Day

Ashley here! Adam is currently in Mexico with his teammates, soaking up the sun. Tough life :) Before he left, I was fortunate enough to spend my first Valentine's Day with him (in something like 9 years...). We kept the day pretty low-key as he was in-between trips. All in all, it was great! Adam surprised me with lovely roses the day before...


...and I surprised him with Raspberry Custard French Toast.


We finished the day off with wine samplings and dinner at a local restaurant in Leawood. Perfecto!

Settling In

Once we got to KC we had to wait a little more than a week until our stuff got moved out here on the truck. We flew to KC and shipped everything including the cars. The team put us up in a hotel in the area called the plaza. Its a very nice older area just south of the city with a revitalized shopping area. It is well known for all its lights at night and especially around Christmas. We moved in on a Tuesday and started the process of unpacking. Here are a few pics during our transition time and our empty townhouse.

Moving...

Hey All...
So after I was traded from New England to KC just before Thanksgiving Ashley and I only had about 10 days of time back in Millis to pack up and schedule movers etc.. It was a crazy time.

Christmas Time

We had a great time back in Richmond over Christmas. We spent a lot of time with our families, bouncing around here and there and making the most of our time... Here are a bunch of pics from our Christmas time.

Nina

Well for those who didn't know or see, our Christmas present this year to each other was a little pup.
Nina is a teacup chihuahua, current size almost 2 pounds, max size 3-3.5 pounds. She is great and we love every quirky minute with her, except the barking at 4am to go to the potty. Here are a couple pics of her soon after we got her.

Palm Beach

Right after Thanksgiving, Ashley and I flew down to Palm Beach, FL. Ashley had a conference for a couple days and we made a vacation out of it. We spent a few days walking on the beach collecting sea glass, deep sea fishing, and laying by the pool, resting for the busy schedule to come.

Welcome to Kansas

Hello again everyone. We hope all your holidays were joyous. Ashley, Nina and I have finally completed (or nearly completed) our move to Kansas. We are still waiting on our cars to arrive after shipping them to save ourselves and the cars 1500 miles and 24 hours of wear and tear. Otherwise we are moved in to our townhouse, Ashley is online working from home, and I have been training most days with guys on the team at our practice facility. It has been a crazy couple months but we are happy in our new home. Down the page will be several shortened posts about a couple trips we made, mostly we will let the pictures do the talking. Now Ashley is home we will be keeping up with our posts..?..

Healing Update

Hello Everyone,
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. I am healing well and feeling pretty good. Not too much pain and swelling has gone way down. I have progressed to a walking boot and crutches for the next few days. Here are some pics after taking off the original bandages today. The cut is looking good. Below is a treatment method, the GameReady is a compression/icing device that blasts icy cold what into the compartment and simultaneously adds compression to reduce swelling and pain.
