Brantrock

A century is a long time. A weekend is rather short. In fact a weekend out of a hundred years is a mere 3 days out of 36,500. Yet somehow making that time last is never a problem in Brantrock. Brantrock is a small shoreside town in Marshfield, MA which is about 45 minutes south of Boston. The house we stayed at belongs to Sue’s (my host-mom) family and this year is the 100 year anniversary of house. The house is broken into 3 sections all capable of becoming individual units with their own kitchen, 3 bedrooms and full size bath. There is no air conditioning, but who needs it when you can just go out front and jump in the cool ocean. The temp while we were their wavered from mid 50’s to mid 60’s but that didn’t stop several of us from snorkeling or diving in search of dinner. Lobster of course was the main dish and it was thoroughly enjoyed. Other than the swimming I spent much of the time playing croquet, bocce ball, and serenading everyone with the ukulele. I was also fortunate to spend some of the weekend with my Mom and sister while they visited me in Boston. It was an amazing weekend and a great time at one of New England’s beautiful beaches.

Its Been a While

The Blog is back...
For many reasons but mostly due to the breakdown of my laptop the blog suffered some neglect. Fortunately I have been enjoying life here in New England to the fullest. Everything from carpentry to fishing, fitting in with my host family has certainly been enjoyable. Keith , the 16 year old son, is like the brother I never had and we have had many adventures in my few months here. Notably we have been fishing a lot recently and are catching many a bass. We have even tried or luck with catfish late at night and have managed to pull out a few. When we are not casting lines we have been making music, creating film projects, and building a recording studio desk. The pool in the back yard has also been enjoyed along with the pools new neighbor, the hot tub. So far the streak has continued for more than a month with at least one person enjoying the warm bubbliness everyday since its delivery.

I haven' t been hogging all the fun though. I have had several visitors up here including my parents and sister, Zack and Anna Bryant, and of course the lovely Ms. Brennan. All are welcome and I hope to have as many of you visit when possible, the door is always open.

Soccer... well its going alright. Last week I scored my 2nd and 3rd goals in our 3-3 tie against Columbus and tonight I added another to my assist pot feeding Andy Dorman for the nail in the coffin goal in our 3-0 victory over Toronto. We head to LA to play Chivas later in the week.

I am really excited to get back to blogging and sharing all the events and adventures going on. Through some of my ideas out there, projects, and general fun on goings. Plus I figured how to add some pictures to the lot and hopefully will keep it all current.

Until then...
